Swiss Design in Hollywood
Swiss Design in Hollywood retraces the work and impact of Swiss artists in the areas of design and digital imagery in international film production as well as in video games.
The cinema industry is one of the most important cultural contributors of the modern era.
Contrary to popular belief, a number of Swiss artists have worked successfully over the years in the conception of films or games, creating characters, fantastic creatures and scenery.
Today, many of these artists are working on some of the most publicly-recognised projects (including animated films) and are leaving an enduring mark on popular culture, although their contribution is largely unknown.
Swiss Design in Hollywood gives an historical perspective on little known or underrated artistic techniques and practices. The exhibition also aims to emphasise the personal influence of particular Swiss designers and illustrators – whether they work independently or for the big special effects studios – on the aesthetics of film and video game production, without overlooking their personal creations.

Tune Money Kicks Off World Cup Campaign
Tune Money Sdn Bhd, the one-stop online financial services company belonging to Tune Group, today launched a contest for all its prepaid card and online insurance subscribers to welcome the South Africa 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Aptly called “Tune-In to South Africa”, the contest offers almost RM100,000 worth of prizes including cash, exclusive World Cup team jerseys, LCD television sets and gadgets like laptops and the highly anticipated Apple iPads.
“The World Cup happens only once in 4 years so we would like to celebrate with our customers by rewarding them with interesting stuff during this worldwide celebration. This contest is open to both existing Tune Money prepaid cardholders as well as new applicants so we are not only rewarding our top spenders but also our new members too. Those purchasing our online insurance products will not only enjoy the best deals for their policies but are also in the run to win attractive prizes like iPads,” said Joyce Lai (赖丽莹), CEO of Tune Money.
The contest for insurance subscribers runs for 4 weeks from 1 June up to 28 June 2010, while the campaign for Tune Money prepaid cardholders will be 8-week long, starting from 1 June until 26 July 2010, during which cardholders will also be enjoying double reward points when spending using their cards. More information and further details on the mechanics and eligibility are available on Tune Money’s portal http://www.tunemoney.com/.
Participation in ‘Tune-In to South Africa’ is automatic but subject to spending criteria and approval of new application for prepaid card. For insurance, all subscribers who purchased their policies online during the contest period are eligible to win. Winners will be selected by the system based on the set criteria and will be announced weekly or fortnightly, depending on the category of contest.
Tune Money is the issuer of Visa-branded interest-free prepaid cards that are known as Tune-In card for cardholders aged 18 years and above and the junior Pulse card for 15-17-year olds.
Via its insurance division Tune Insurance, Tune Money offers an array of online insurance products that are underwritten by established, reputable insurers. Its Tune Travel Insurance, Tune Home Insurance and Tune Personal Accident Insurance are underwritten by Tokio Marine Insurans Malaysia Berhad while Multi-Purpose Insurans Berhad underwrites its Tune Motor Insurance. Tune Money also has plans to offer insurance and takaful products for life, hospitalisation and surgical, and coverage for pets.
“With Tune Money prepaid cards, cardholders not only find it convenient to manage their finances but they also get to enjoy rewards either instantly through discounts offered by our partner merchants or by accumulating points for future redemption. They will find that we have lower qualifying criteria for redemption compared to other cards. Unlike credit and charge cards, almost everyone including housewives and students can apply for a Tune Money prepaid card as no proof of income is required. On top of that, it is interest-free and cardholders do not have to worry about penalties or late charges,” explained Lai.
With enhancements to the prepaid card features, Tune-In cardholders can now easily transfer funds to other Tune-In or Pulse card accounts via the ‘Card2Card’ feature on www.tunemoney.com.
Tune-In and Pulse cards are ideal for budgeting and controlling finances either personally or for the family or even an organisation. Not only is it safe and convenient, cardholders can also keep tabs on their expenditure and avoid unnecessary spending, thus staying away from debts.
Tune-In Card and Pulse Card are accepted at 29 million Visa merchants worldwide and offer on-the-spot discounts at selected merchants as well as an attractive redemption points system with lower qualifying criteria. The cards can be used anywhere in Malaysia and abroad and at any location that carries the Visa acceptance mark, as well as to withdraw cash from any automated teller machines (ATMs) carrying the Visa Plus logo anywhere in the world.
Lai pointed out that Tune Money’s insurance products are very competitively priced as they are customised according to customer needs.
“Tune Money’s insurance products offer maximum coverage at a minimum premium. With customised plans, customers only pay what they need. They can also consolidate and track their portfolios with Tune Money’s personal online organiser. Working with renowned insurer partners means Tune Money offers high quality products along with quality customer service and claims service standard,” she added.
“Through our ‘Tune-In to South Africa’ campaign we hope more and more people will discover and appreciate our prepaid card and insurance products, and see how they can enjoy the benefits while at the same time be in the running to win fabulous prizes,” Lai said.
Tune Money was set up with the aim of eventually creating an online Tune consumer community together with its sister companies Tune Hotels.com and Tune Talk. In the long run, the plan is to integrate the Tune consumer community with that of AirAsia, the world’s best low cost airline that has now grown into a global brand.
